Legal Assistant (Litigation)

Location: Idaho Falls, Idaho

Parsons Behle & Latimer, a regional law firm, has an immediate opening for a Legal Assistant in our Idaho Falls, Idaho office. Position requires 5+ years of litigation experience, the ability to manage a high-volume caseload, and attention to detail is critical.

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and excellent organizational and communication skills. Law firm experience is preferred.

Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting attorneys and paralegals with administrative tasks.
• Answering phones.
• Scheduling meetings.
• Providing backup legal assistance when needed.

Job Requirements (Qualifications):

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the following:

• 5+ years of litigation experience in a professional office environment, law firm preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and case management software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable, independent worker with minimal supervision
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to manage case deadlines for attorneys and paralegals assigned to the matter
• Positive, professional attitude
• People-oriented and self-motivated
• Able to work successfully in a team environment

Schedule & Compensation:

Type: This is an in-office position. Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Flexibility: Opportunity to work from home one day a week, after appropriate training. Rate: Hourly rate is commensurate with experience.
