Job Title: Medical Technologist (Medical Laboratory Scientist) MLS or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Sign-On Bonus: - $10,000 for Medical Technologists
- $5,000 for Medical Laboratory Technicians

As a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), you will leverage your technical and problem-solving skills to perform a wide range of tests-both manual and automated-in our clinical laboratory.
For Medical Technologists (MTs): - MTs conduct complex tests and troubleshooting, evaluate methods, and maintain quality management and safety programs.
- Strong communication skills are essential for collaboration with healthcare teams and regulatory agencies.
- An in-depth understanding of the biochemical and pathophysiologic basis for laboratory procedures is required for effective result interpretation and correlation.
For Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs): - MLTs perform highly complex testing under the guidance of an MT and must also engage in troubleshooting and quality management.
- MLTs should possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of laboratory procedures to ensure effective collaboration and result interpretation.
Key Responsibilities for Both Roles: - Perform laboratory tests according to established protocols with limited supervision.
- Properly collect, handle, process, and store specimens.
- Operate computer-integrated and networked laboratory instruments.
- Compare test results to reference ranges and exercise independent judgment regarding reportability.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and communicate resource needs for budgeting.
- Uphold privacy and demonstrate respect for patients, families, visitors, and colleagues.
Notice Requirement: A 30-day notice is required upon resignation.
Education Requirements: - Medical Technologist (MT): Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related science, with completion of a 12-month accredited medical technology training program.
- Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT): Associate degree and completion of an accredited medical laboratory technician program.
Certification: - Required: None
- Preferred: ASCP, AAB, AMT
Experience: - Required: None
- Preferred: Two years of experience in various laboratory disciplines.
Additional Requirements: - Upon hire, provide a copy of your Immunization Record and disclose your current influenza immunization.
